Rusted Embrace first began in early 2004. Dave LaGrassa and Zak Brown wanted to start a band and had began jamming on some material. Former bandmates of Daves that were in Self Revolution were asked or volunteered to take part in Rusted. So, Aaron Loiacano, Ben Doucette and Kyle Rose all jumped on board. After jamming for a while, the band began to write actual songs and finished their first song on the first day of practice. Then as luck would have it, the band got the chance to record a low quality demo only a month into formation. After the demo was recorded, a Battle of the Bands was played at the high school they all attanded and Rusted Embrace made a mark. Being the only band of its kind that night (kickass fucking metal), Rusted became decently well known for this mere fact alone. As time continued on, the band played many shows and got itself decenlty well known in (shittown) Manchester by the Sea and Gloucester. Then the band recorded a 3 song demo with Pete Rucho of Damage Studios. The demo came out amazingly and the song "Black Rose" attracted even those who are not down with the metal scene. Soon after the band won their high school talent show which was a surprise for the group and gave them much attention in the area. At this point the band merely hopes to continue on past high school and try to make this into something. |
